Patch 1.3.2

Higher prices for many goods, rivals more ready for war, major incidents that hit harder, and more room before the early city status levels.

Released

Patch 1.3.2 came out on 29 January 2026. Besides fixes for crashes and desyncs, it changed the balance of trade, war and incidents, to give players who look for one more of a challenge.

Balance

  • Most goods have higher base prices, so they cost more to buy and bring more when sold. The consumption of some goods dropped very slightly in return.
  • Difficult and aggressive rivals declare war more readily, smaller feuds escalate sooner, and Neferneru and Concordia ally against the player more often.
  • Major incidents come more often and weigh more: more rioters to defeat, more people to evacuate from a fire and more sick to collect in a plague, and each of those actions shortens an incident by only a minute.
  • The early city status levels 3 and 4 need more residents, so a city can grow wide for longer.

Fixes worth knowing

  • Global religion buffs apply to islands that are settled or conquered later.
  • Rivals build on islands they took from others.
  • Land units that retreat recover again once they meet the conditions.
  • Blueprinted aqueducts upgrade as expected, and moving or destroying aqueducts no longer crashes the game.
  • The game warns at start when it may not write to its savegame folder.
